Okay, so I’ve never played any of the Halo games before this. All I knew was that everyone was hyped up for halo 3. A few days after release I looked at my friends list to find that pretty much everyone was playing it. Feeling left out I went and bought it the next day.
Wow! Most games surrounded by this much hype are usually a big let down. But as soon as I’d drawn first blood from an unsuspecting grunt I was addicted. As I continued to play I realized the depth of the game, this wasn’t just a standard shooter. A whole universe, with its own politics, problems and races with their own unique traits, had been created for us to play in.
The combination of the realistic graphics, emotive music and powerful storyline made me feel like I was the Master Chief and his story was my story. A great game should make you feel emotion whether it be fear, excitement, anger or joy and Halo 3 certainly does this.
After the campaign is all wrapped up there are still hours of fun to be had on the online multiplayer. You can play ranked, social or custom games with heaps of different gametypes and plenty of maps to choose from. There is always someting to learn in this well thought out multiplayer.
