Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows

Spidey, Spidey, Spidey! Like most super heroes, this masked crusader has been in more than a couple of rotten videogames. Unlike most though, he has been in a few gems as well. NZGamer are hoping that this will be the one to get our senses tingling!

Not much is known about this title so far as all that has been released is a quick teaser trailer for the game. In this trailer a detailed city with a huge draw distance is viewable as are some simply huge organic-looking nasty things. The general vibe of the game seems rather dark as the trailer shows a devastated New York as your playground. Apart from that your decisions will drastically affect the game world. As is so popular now, you don’t have to play the good guy.

If Shaba Games can get the formula right, including some fast paced fight scenes, good web-slinging, and a feel that stays true to some of the better Spider-Man comics, then there’s every chance that this game could well be a winner. Also because this isn’t a movie tie in, the developers hopefully have a lot of freedom and won’t have a deadline that’s quite as strict. Only time will tell if this game is friend or foe…

i do rate spiderman 2 as one of the top ten best games ever on ps2 (regardless of being a spiderman fan :))

Simply fun.
