7:05am - Mattrick wraps up by telling us that a lot of the PlayStation 3 games are now coming to Xbox 360, thanks everyone for attending.

7:03am - Final Fantasy XIII should be released alongside the PS3 version.

7:01am - A video of FF13 is shown. It looks very impressive. Again, this is a huge announcement for Microsoft.

6:58am - Announcement time: Final Fantasy XIII on Xbox 360! That is HUGE news!

6:54am - Infinite Undiscovery will be released in North America on September 2nd. Star Ocean The Last Hope will be 2009. The Last Remnant will be released November 20th worldwide!

6:53am - President of Square Enix, Yoichi Wada, is here. Big news coming?

6:52am - The downloadable tracks from the original game will be able to be brought across to Rock Band 2. "Almost" all of the tracks from the original game can be imported into the sequel.

6:51am - Bob Dylan, Guns N Roses, AC/DC!

6:49am - Rock Band time! Rock Band 2 track list has been released! All 84 songs will be master recordings.

6:47am - This has gone on for a while - she's missing a few notes to boot. Our esteemed editor could probably get a higher score than Duffy on her own song.

6:44am - Duffy is introduced to sing her latest song. Did we hear that right? You can import your own songs into the game? Plug in your own Zune or iPod and being able to sing from your own music collection.

6:43am - The microphone will be motion sensitive, as well as featuring LED's which will light up as you sing.

6:42am - Here's one we knew was coming - LIPS.

6:41am - GH: World Tour will feature a REM track pack. Metallica's Death Magnetic will be offered as DLC at the same time as the album being released!

6:40am - Guitar Hero studio will allow users to create their own tracks, and share them via Xbox Live.

6:39am - The modes and instruments are touted. More than 85 songs will ship on the disc.

6:37am - Kai Huang from RedOctane is here to talk Guitar Hero.

6:35am - The three mini-games that were just shown have been merged into one movie. Ok, this is total cheese.

6:35am - They look like they're having a whole load of fun... Or perhaps not.

6:31am - Codemasters' Your In The Movies gets a demo. It uses the Microsoft EyeToy-esque camera to put you in the game.

6:30am - Scene It! Box Office Smash is shown, and it'll be supporting Xbox Live Avatars.

6:29am - The original Banjo Kazooie will be available on XBLA!

6:27am - Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise! We see the snow and dessert levels. The game has camera support to create new pinatas.

6:26am - A video reel from Rare is shown, with Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts.

6:25am - Head of Strategy and Business development, Shane Kim, takes the stage and tells us the first piece of GTA4 downloadable content is coming shortly.

6:24am - You can share your Netflix movies and TV shows with others in your Live Party. That's pretty neat.

6:23am - New partnership - Netflix. This won't mean much for us here in NZ, but is a nice feather in the Xbox Live online video content cap.

6:22am - South Park game is also coming to XBLA. No idea what type of game it will be.

6:21am - Portal: Still Alive is unveiled! An Xbox exclusive coming this year.

6:20am - Galaga Legions is also available next month on XBLA.

6:19am - A new version of Geometry Wars is coming next month exclusively to Xbox Live Arcade.

6:17am - The new games channel is shown. Uno Rush is shown, and announced.

6:16am - Game show "1 vs. 100" will be coming to Xbox Live, which you'll be able to take part in with your avatars.

6:13am - "Live Party" is announced, which is a virtual chat with your avatar. You'll be able to do thing such as sharing photos with all the people in you party.

6:12am - You can customise your avatar with hair styles, clothes, accessories.

6:09am - A brand new Xbox dashboard has been unveiled! One of the worst kept secret in recent weeks - Avatars - have officially been unveiled.

6:08am - John Schappert comes up on the stage. It sounds like Xbox Live is about to get an overhaul!


6:07am - NBC and Universal Studios will be jumping on the Xbox Live bandwagon. Great news for the US, doesn't particularly impact us.

6:06am - More than one billion dollars has been spent on Xbox Live, with over 500 million pieces of content downloaded.

6:05am - A series of graphs are shown to tell us that the Xbox 360 is better than the PS3. Mattrick goes on the record to guarantee that the Xbox 360 will sell more consoles than the PS3 this generation.

6:02am - Don Mattrick is back on the stage. He reminds us how big the gaming industry is. 48 Million spent on games in the last year - bigger than the box office, bigger than music, and bigger than DVD sales.

6:00am - Gears of War 2 looks like it'll be a whole lot of fun, especially co-op. Worldwide release on November 7th!

5:59am - New mode announced, "Horde", where up to 5 players can play against a constant stream of enemies.

5:56am - The game is looking really impressive, but still very similar to the original, which is not a bad thing.

5:55am - CliffyB, design director of Epic takes the stage. "The Locust are back". They begin showing a two player co-op demo.

5:54am - Gears of War 2 video is shown! This is one game we're looking forward to.

5:53am - Gameplay demo ends, Fable II is releasing October!

5:52am - You can get married, and Molyneux introduces us to his house, his wife, and his son.

5:51am - Molyneux shows us a pretty nifty feature, where you can pull your friends into your game by approaching their purple orb in the game rather than lobbies.

5:48am - "Fable II is finished". We see a video of the game. Fable II is the story of how you uniquely grow from a kid into a full blown hero.

5:47am - Peter Molyneux takes the stage to talk Fable II.

5:45am - Announcement: Resident Evil 5 will be launching 13th March 2009 (12th March for Japan)

5:44am - The online co-op mode is shown.

5:43am - A demo begins of RE5. Zombies in Africa.

5:43am - Jun Takeuchi, producer of Resident Evil 5 takes the stage.

5:41am - Fallout 3 demo finishes. Substantial downloadable content will be coming via Xbox Live exclusively for the game.

5:40am - Fallout 3 reacts to how you play it - be a good or a bad person.

5:38am - He completely destroys the enemy with a variety of weapons. Combat shotgun, sniper rifle, oh, and laser rifle!

5:37am - Howard picks up the controller for Fallout 3. The game is looking really nice.

5:36am - Todd Howard takes the stage. Tells us the previous video was the first half of the trailer for Fallout 3 which will be debuting on Xbox Live.

5:35am - An awesome retro movie is played. "Where will you be when the atomic bomb falls"?

5:34am - Don Mattrick remind us that Fallout 3, Resident Evil 5, Fable 2, Gears of War 2 will be some of the most anticipated games on the horizon.

5:32am - Don Mattrick takes the stage, Microsoft's Senior Vice President of Entertainment Business. Talks about the biggest sellers are on Xbox 360 - GTA4, BioShock, Assassin's Creed, Halo 3.

Gears of War 2 and Fable II gives Microsoft a huuuuuuge holiday line-up. Fable II's online co-op mode is particularly impressive.

Fable 2 finished? I thought I'd only slept six hours, not six years. Quite a decent one, MS, much better than previous conferences. Nice.

Wow, a lot of cool stuff. FF13? I was thinking of getting a PS3 for that, now I don't have to. I'm actually liking the interface, hopefully theres another take on the whole themes/colour schemes system that 360 currently has.

Good stuff, nothing from Bungie yet...hmm. I heard rumours their next game was about 5 marines instead of Master chief, and that the game would be "darker and grittier"

ffxIII is this game supposed to be good or something, some thing for the xbox fanboys to wank over i guess, must like having to change disks all the time, lol
