Close Up: Weta's Warthog (Part 1)

Only in New Zealand.

If you were lucky enough to come to Armageddon in Wellington this year you would've undoubtedly noticed a familiar vehicle next to the NZGamer.com booth.

It was a real-life fully scale Warthog from the famous Halo series of video games.

Back when the Halo movie seemed to have the green-light, Peter Jackson, Weta and Neill Blomkamp begun pre-production work on the film here in New Zealand.

The product of this can be seen in the numerous Halo live-action shorts, and of course in the beast you're about to behold below.
