While I bought this game about a year ago, it has received little use. This isn't because it's not fun, it's because it's buggy and requires a high spec computer to run it.
The game itself is quite fun. You get to play with your own little railroad, and can compete against other railroads, beating them to resources, buying their company shares/stock, that sort of thing. Playing multiplayer makes this even more fun.
The downside of this game is that you don't get that much control over the trains. You can't place signals or tell the train to go on this specific piece of track, you can only tell it to go to this station, and it picks the best route it thinks for it, although the best route is often not the route you want it to take.
Also, don't try running it in Vista, it crashes after a little while of play.
So like I said at the beginning, it's fun, but it also has some problems which keep it from being really fun.
