Haze, what can I say...

Its is a decent game. It had so much hype that expectations were raised to a level that meant it was doomed from the start.

One of the main features hyped about the game was the story. The story is a the tale of Shane Carpenter, a new recruit that is a member of Mantels private army. Mantel is a pharmaceutical company that developed Nectar. Nectar is a drug that enhances the solider speed, strength agility. It also give them the ability to heal fast, makes the enemy solider glow, enhances the sniping ability and makes the world "clean".

When I say it makes the world "clean", I mean it make the solider see that every thing is fine, he cant see blood, the bodies of the enemy and the destruction around him.

Anyway about 25% of the way though the story Shane decides to switch the the rebels side and fight Mantel. The rest of the story is him uncovering the truth as to why mantel is in the area fighting and uncovering the truth about nectar the so called "safe" nutritional supplement.

The guns in Haze are limited, you have a 2 different hand guns, two assault rifles, 2 shot guns, 2 sniper rifles, 1 gatling gun, 1 flame thrower, 1 rocket launcher. 90% of the time you will be able to kill everything with the lobo assault rifle. With you ability to scavenge ammo and transform it into ammo for the gun you have equipped you wont really need to change guns.

The graphics in Haze a really good. I really don't understand the people that say they are shit. There are no jaggies at all, the textures are pretty good to. While it does only run at 575 p (I cant recall the correct number, but its below the HD standards) I doubt anyone would be able to tell if the developers didn't point it out.

A few of the things I didn't like were the fact that the enemy didn't use the special abilities. When you are fighting on the rebels side the mantel troopers don't use the nectar abilities to snipe you from a far and you can just hand back with your assault refile and take them out one by one. I guess if the developers had made them use there abilities it would have become to hard to play.

The story is ok not great but not the worst I have come across.

One of the major features that the game was sold on was the 4 player co-op. Unfortunately this was broken when the game was launched and I wasn't able to use it. There has since been a patch to fix it, but by the time it came out I had already completed the single player campaign and didn't want to play it again.

Muiltyplayer is fun but I didn't player it much.

After so many delays and confusion over it exclusivity it could have been great but didn't live up to the hype. Play i if you have the chance but it is not worth the full price, wait for it to hit $50 before you buy it.
