Live coverage of Sony's E3 conference.
It's Sony's turn to take the stage, and we're amped and ready to go! Now, if only we could track down Qore's Veronica Belmont...
Here's how it works: We'll be updating this page with up to the minute announcements and all the happenings from the conference. Newest updates are at the top, so keep refreshing this page to see the latest updates.
Alright, here we go:
8:05am - And that's a wrap. Welcome to the future?
8:04am - Looks pretty good; although a bit too much like SOCOM in some ways. Many explosions.
8:02am - Character advancement is in the game; it'll be "intense" and "long lasting". Trailer begins.
8:01am - "Massive Action Game". Built on success of the SOCOM series. Massive online battles - up to 256 players, broken down to 8-player squads.
8:00am - "One final title to talk about". New game. Main guy from Zipper Interactive takes the stage.
7:58am - Infamous shown. Lots of explosions. More drama.
7:57am - Looks nice, as you'd expect. Very dramatic. And short.
7:56am - God of War III announced, with trailer!
7:53am - Another set of trailers, including LBP, the new Motorstorm, the new Bond game, Ghostbusters, Soulcalibur IV, Resistance 2, SingStar, Guitar Hero.
7:49am - Various developers/publishers singing the praises of the PS3.
7:47am - News! 80gb PS3 "Core" bundle for US $400 in September. Same as the 40gb one apparently, just with twice the storage.
7:44am - Still on DC Universe. Can it beat out City of Heroes? Well, probably, considering the brand behind it.
7:42am - Sony Online Entertainment talked up, Jim Lee on stage to talk about DC Universe Online. Oh my god, this man did a one-handed push-up! WTF? Crazy. Wish I could do that!
7:40am - Google mentioned. PS3 is gonna do news, weather, and more at the end of the month. Gee, haven't heard of anyone doing that before.
7:39am - And back to the PS3! C'mon Sony, pull out something awesome.
7:35am - A series of trailers show off games like Patapon 2, LocoRoco 2, Force Unleashed, Super Stardust Portable, LEGO Batman.
7:34am - They're showing it off. Looks nice, quite similar to the original. Coming out "Spring 09" in the US.
7:33am - Resistance Retribution announced for PSP! Tis a third person shooter apparently. Seems like a fair enough move.
7:31am - Onto the PSP. Jack's talking up the slim model.
7:30am - The video service is available TONIGHT! You do live in the US, right? We'll try and get word from Sony NZ as soon as possible.
7:28am - Still talking up the movie/TV features, including how they can also be played on the PSP.
7:24am - Video rental and purchase coming to PS3 via Home...but probably not over here.
7:22am - More Home showcasing. Nice visuals. They show off various settings, including game-specific ones.
7:21am - Trophy time. If you haven't been keeping up, it's Sony's answer to the 360's achievements. And now on to Home! Wow, still not ready! Now THAT'S news!
7:19am - Cars cars cars. I'd write down specifics, but I'm no automobile nut.
7:17am - Gran Turismo TV coming...sometime. Demo time!
7:15am - More PSN games...Pain Amusement Park; Flower (looks nice); Siren: Blood Curse; Ragdoll Kung Fu: Plastic Fists of Plastic.
7:12am - Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty announced for PSN. It'll be a shorter game, and will be cheaper (US $15) as a result. Glorified downloadable content? Maybe! Looks purdy though.
7:11am - More than 20 million pieces of content downloaded last month. Also talks up the new site design.
7:08am - To the PlayStation Network! Hey cool, they're moving to a single user sign-in, one of the things they were criticised for. Goes across PS3, PSP, and PC.
7:07am - Buzz is - oh so surprisingly - big this year, coming out on all their platforms. And you can't forget SingStar! Talking up the SingStore, with 1.9 million songs downloaded worldwide. I certainly helped contribute to that number...
7:05am - Still on PS2 with Yakuza 2, Mercs 2. Mmm, last gen.
7:04am - LBP is done with, onto the PS2! Talks up games like Force Unleashed, SingStar, Tiger Woods, etc etc.

7:00am - The Sackboy character from LittleBigPlanet is rollicking around with a headband. Best graph ever? Inspired idea by Sony, this thing's awesome.
6:59am - Hah, they're showing off a special level made up to display charts of Sony's stats.
6:57am - Jack is back, and getting onto LittleBigPlanet. He emphasises the design aspects, user content, social networking, other buzz words.
6:55am - More Resistance 2 showcasing, this time focusing on...a forest! And Chicago!
6:54am - 8-player co-op? That sounds like good times. 60-player online competitive multiplayer. Bold claim time: "Resistance 2 offers more than any other shooter this year".
6:52am - Lots of building-climbing going on to get to the monster. Very Cloverfield. Much rocket launcher action. And we're done with the footage! Ted Price comes on to talk about the setting.
6:48am - Okay, here we go: time to look at Resistance 2. Giant beasty! Purdy graphics a-plenty.
6:45am - Talking up the PS3 plan, and why it's so awesome. "2008 all about software".
6:43am - Jack's running through the history of the PlayStation consoles. It's official: there's already more crowd reaction than in the whole Nintendo press conference.
6:39am - Jack Stratton comes on stage, talks about how stressful it is doing E3. Poor guy.
6:36am - Aaaaand the lights go down. Game footage commences.
