Hellgate London has had some average reviews over the net some of the reviews are totally justified. In my opinion Hellgate London is a pretty good all be it somewhat frustrating game at times.
I am a novice PC gamer so don't have a lot to compare it with, but I have been enjoying this game for the last month or so. Ok so some of the levels are and scenery are quite repetitive but it does not detract from the fun of killing a plethora of demons and spooks. With the different classes of characters you can play as with the varied abilities this game seems like it could be played over and over again. Being a fan of first person shooters I am currently playing as a hunter which is loads of fun especially picking off demons from the rooftop with my sniper rifle although my favourite gun would be the laser rifle which is like being straight off the set from Ghostbusters. I have not tried the online play as of yet but will do so at some stage.
Overall this is an excellent game let done only by the lame voiceover work and slightly repetitive game play. Be aware also you need a reason powerful pc to optimise game play my pc only just handles it
