I've heard good things about the multiplayer but I'm still unsure if it's worth the purchase...

I'd love for there to be a GREAT Transformers game!

Flatmate rented it yesterday, watched them playing it, not worth it, honestly. Based on what I've seen, I'm removing it from my wishlist.

Who would seriously pick this up for more than a rent unless they were some hardcore transformer memorabilia horde.

When has a movie tie in ever been anything other than lame or average at best?

Goldeneye doesn't count

Yeah, I could never ever see this having a great story or anything. This is one of those games that young kids buy, not anyone that's interested in a solid game.

Maybe the multiplayer is good, but that certainly isn't enough to warrant a purchase.
