Animal Crossing Wii Dated!

Animal Crossing comes to Wii for the first time with Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City available in stores 4 December 2008.

Create your own world in Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City as you customise your town, your house, even yourself! Step into another world where days and seasons pass in real time; connect with friends via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and use the Wii Speak accessory to talk to Animal Crossing friends anywhere around the world!

Build relationships with animals in your town as you go fishing, take in a concert, get your hair done at Shampoodle salon and get a Mii makeover. Design your own clothes at the tailor’s shop and the animals in your town can even wear them and take them into other towns! Decorate your house, go on a shopping spree, watch fireworks with friends, ride the bus into the city – the choice is yours and your options are endless in Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City.

Up to four people in your household can live and work together to build the perfect town, or you can invite up to three friends to visit your town using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The Wii Speak accessory (broadband internet connection required) allows you to talk to your friends, no matter what their location. The Wii Speak accessory sits atop the sensor bar and picks up the conversation of everyone in the room. As you talk to your friends via Wii Speak you will even see their character on your screen.

With Wii Speak comes a code that allows you to download the Wii Speak Channel at no charge. Simply visit the Wii Shop Channel to download this feature. Wii Speak lets people in up to four locations who have traded Friend Codes chat with one another at no extra cost. When you use Wii Speak in real time, your Mii appears on your TV screen and mimics your chat. You also can leave audio messages for your friends and family members or use Wii Speak to narrate captions for your photos.

In Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City days, months and even holidays pass just as they do in the real world. Go trick-or-treating in late October, catch fireflies in the summer, play practical jokes on April Fool’s Day, or hunt for eggs on Bunny Day. If it starts raining, you’ll even need to make sure you have brought an umbrella, and if you want to catch a show at the theatre, you’ll need to make sure you purchase a ticket and come back at the actual time the show starts!

Explore the exciting world of Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City on Wii as you choose the pace, and you create the adventures.

Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City and Wii Speak are also sold separately, or alternatively you can purchase both products together as a bundle. Price available in stores.

Animal Crossing is also available on Nintendo DS with Animal Crossing Wild World.

I can see myself always playing this at the same time of day, and so not getting much out of it.

I really think AC is far more suited to DS.

Never played animal crossing and I don't own a wii so this doesn't really affect me.

I've not played any of the animal crossing games but they've always gotten good reviews, might be worth a try :)

Yeah it really is suited for the DS and hell, it is a DS game with the shops relocated so now you have to leave your town to go to the city. Yay!
