More Diablo III Information Revealed

Shortly after the opening ceremony for the third Blizzcon, President and CEO Mike Morhaime revealed the newest addition to Diablo III’s class roster – the Wizard. Check out the debut trailer below.

Casual analysis (that’s about all I have to go by at the moment, there might me more over the course of Blizzcon but all that’s available right now is the trailer) of the above Wizard trailer has revealed some information on the newest addition to the Diablo III class roster. In terms of looks and abilities the Wizard seems to be fairly similar to the Sorceress of Diablo II with a revamped set of spells that contain both old favourites and interesting new attacks.

For example, some of the new abilities are Disintegrate, a red beam that extends from the Wizards hands and Slow Time, a protective bubble that forms around the wizard slowing enemy attacks. A few of the returning skills will be things like Teleport, Frozen Orb and Electrocute (which is basically Chain Lightning).

Is Diablo always just on PC?

@Lisa3x3x3
They're pretty cool.

@Bigbcbob
The game starts in Tristram, but it'll be all over the place like the second. As for returning characters, Griswold is dead but Cain is still doing his 'stay a while and listen' gig.

@Oliver
No, the first Diablo was made into a PSOne port. The second Diablo was PC exclusive though.

Somehow that didn't entice me as much as I thought it would...

I'm holding my breath... Blizzard kinda lost its soul a bit i reckon but heck they are making it pretty good at at the moment.
