New Halo Wars CG Trailer

GameTrailers recently posted the above CG trailer for the upcoming RTS set in the Halo universe, Halo Wars. This trailer establishes the back-story for the game in that the Covenant have found something in the ice on Harvest that, to quote the Captain, “might be the key to the whole war”. Nothing else is established in the trailer other than that the Covenant have found something and the UNSC want it.

Wow, for something with little use of the developer, Bungie, they got the graphics down right. Well done, Ensemble for keeping the series going.

Hmmm, I thought that Harvest, not only was glassed therefore destroying anychance of snow, was the begining of the war? To find something in the snow, they would have to be there before the glassing, therefore before the war, so how could they find the key to the war before the war started? The mind boogles! And is it just me, or is that one of the previous Arbiters?

And the Elites, or maybe just that Arbiter guy, sound a lot less, honourable? What they would have said in Halo 2/3: Do not be afraid ,the light of the Great Journey shall light your path. Halo Wars: I care not for your puny life. Hmmm...
