Fresh from the Leipzig Games convention is a two minute trailer showing off some of Killzone 2’s multiplayer action. In this much anticipated sequel, players will be able to take up the fight online as one of the many class archetypes for either the Helghast or the ISA. Multiplayer will feature support for up to 32 players as well as a deep ranking and character customisation system not unlike that of Call of Duty 4.
Killzone 2 is still looking pretty fantastic in the visual department, even if all that’s been shown so far looks like it could be the same run-down industrial block from different angles. Hopefully Guerrilla Games have some other environment types up their sleeves. I love derelict buildings and an abundance of brown as much as the next guy but some variety in aesthetic design is always a good thing.
Feel free to check out the trailer below that depicts several pitched battles between the ISA and Helghast forces and showcases some of the aforementioned classes’ abilities – deploying sentry guns, cloaking and reviving fallen teammates.
