Square Enix's DK Σ3713 Event Round-Up

In one convenient place, we have all the latest news from Square Enix's DK Σ3713 private party that was held in Japan. So what are you waiting for? Find out below the latest juicy news from every JRPG fan's Christmas (but not)!

UPDATE: The party's still going, so keep refreshing for updates! Day One is now officially over, but check back tomorrow for any new information from Day Two.

Parasite Eve 3 Headed for PSP

As previously mentioned, the third Parasite Eve game, known as The 3rd Birthday, will be heading to the PSP. Originally the game was only slated for mobile phones.

Final Fantasy XIII Demo Coming with Advent Children Blu-Ray

Those who purchase Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete on Blu-Ray will not only be treated to new videos of Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII, but they will also have access to an exclusive demo of the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII. There will also apparently be a PS3 bundle released in March 2009 (Japan).

Final Fantasy Agito XIII Coming to PSP

Like The 3rd Birthday, Final Fantasy Agito XIII, previously exclusive to mobile phones, will be making its way to the PSP.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Due This Summer (Japan)

Japanese gamers can expect the DS Kingdom Hearts spin-off 358/2 Days by the end of this year. However, there is unfortunately no word yet of an English release.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep in 2009 (Japan)

Likewise, the PSP spin-off Birth by Sleep will be due in Japan next year, with no release date given for an English version.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy will be released December 2008 (Japan)

What can be seen as a greatest hits version of the Final Fantasy universe, Dissidia: Final Fantasy will be released in Japan at the end of the year. No word on an English release date or if it will even happen at all. (Keep those fingers crossed!) A PSP bundle is also planned for Japan.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII Scheduled for Simultaneous Worldwide Release

Given that this never happens with Square Enix games, this is perhaps the biggest news of the show. Final Fantasy Versus XIII, exclusive to PS3, will be launched simultaneously around the world. So Kiwi gamers won't have to wait for years after the Japanese release to play it. (Why can't you do this with all your games, eh, Squeenix?) The only bad news is that there is no release date.

Final Fantasy XIII Due in 2009 (Japan)

Unlike its sibling, Final Fantasy XIII will not be getting a worldwide release date. Instead, it will launch in Japan in 2009, with an English translation to follow. If typical PAL treatment occurs, we can expect the PS3 and Xbox versions sometime in 2010...

Final Fantasy XIII Finally Gets Real-Time Footage

Yeah, we've all seen the pretty cinematics, but no one has actually seen what Final Fantasy XIII will really look like. Well, except our source at DK Σ3713. Unfortunately, our source wasn't brave enough to use their cell phone to capture footage, so we'll try and hunt down another way. UPDATE: We've just learnt that real-time footage of Versus XIII was also shown.

Pretty disappointed, though. I was hoping for more PS3 stuff. Not much of a PSPer, y'see but I imagine those kinds of peeps are jumping for joy.
