Fable V Already Planned?

In the rather extensive interview below, Lionhead, uh, head Peter Molyneux reveals that he already has plans for Fable III, IV, and V, implying that Fable is destined to become a huge franchise. Indeed, Molyneux claims that the Fable franchise will be one large saga, and people will be able to recognise recurring elements of Fable in Fable II.

There's no doubt that Fable is an excellent staple in Microsoft's catalogue of games. Indeed, the original is one of my favourite games of all time. (I mean, come on, you can do the 'sexy hero pose'!) However, the cynic in me is a little worried at the idea of already planning three sequels to a game that isn't even out yet.

Still, Fable II looks set to offer plenty of innovation into the adventure genre, and as long as the apparent sequels do the same, who can really complain? Check out the interview below, and be sure to keep it locked to NZGamer for the full review of Fable II coming in the near future!

Can't wait. The original fable was so nice to play. Even the evil things had that cartoony feel. There was so much to do aswell. Lionhead has been working on this for a while so we'll see what they have for us.

if they do it right, it could work real well. an overall story could be really epic - the LOTR of gaming (not saying it will be-pretty big call lol) of sorts.
As long as each title can hold its own that is...
