Soul Calibur IV Missing Features On PS3
Published By: Liam O'Connor On: 27/07/2008 16:17
While the PlayStation 3 now supports rumble, achievements trophies, and in-game music, Soul Calibur IV for the PS3 will offer none of these. Additionally, Soul Calibur IV will feature a 2.85 GB on the PS3.
Now, if you're like me and you own both a PS3 and an Xbox 360, you've probably been weighing up which version to get. Even with the above flaws, the PS3 version still has Vader, right? Apparently, not for long. Rumours have it (backed up with screenshots, sure, but those can be faked easily enough) that Vader is heading to the 360 and Yoda to the PS3 through downloadable content.
Given that the PS3 version also includes the "PlayStation tax" (a RRP of $10 more)... yeah. Sure, it can be patched, but it still makes for a saaaaad panda.
Still, I'll probably get it on the PS3 given the fact that the 360's d-pad sucks for everything but selecting from menus, but those of you who are still weighing up which version to get will probably be glad to know about the above missing features before you invest in either one.
Stay tuned for our upcoming review of Soul Calibur IV to find out how the final game shapes up and whether the soul still burns.
Sony really need to get onto developers to include these new features that have been made avalible since 2.41, other wise its all going to be rendered a waste of time.
