While everyone was focused on the fact that Microsoft delayed the announcement of the upcoming Halo game from Bungie, few seemed to notice that the upcoming Aliens first-person shooter from Gearbox Software and Sega was missing.
However, Gearbox Software president, Randy Pitchford, still wants to make it very clear that Aliens: Colonial Marines was not absent from E3 because it was in bad shape -- or worse, vaporware.
"Here's the thing. I want to show it, everybody wants to see it. They're [Sega] going to make the decision to do that when it's the best value for what their marketing and promotion strategy is."
So when could we expect to see Aliens: Colonial Marines?
"Well, I don't know. It's not up to me. I wish it was."
Disappointing news -- but you know what they say about the best coming to those who wait. Keep it locked to NZGamer for more updates on Aliens: Colonial Marines as we get them. In the meantime, let us know what your feelings are towards the game below. Are you looking forward to it? Have you been craving another Aliens-themed first-person shooter since Aliens vs Predator 2? Or are you just over first-person shooters?
Or you simply too afraid of no one hearing you in space when you scream? Yeah, that's it, isn't it?
