Square-Enix Want A Three-Horse Race

The announcement that Final Fantasy XIII would be released on the Xbox 360 came as a shock to many. However, senior vice president of Square-Enix, Michihiro Sasaki, once spoke to The Wall Street Journal, and his comments shed some light on the situation.
"We don't want the PlayStation 3 to be the overwhelming loser, so we want to support them. But we don't want them to be the overwhelming winner either, so we can't support them too much."
Interesting words indeed -- ones that certainly go a long way to explaining the decision behind a bi-platform release of Final Fantasy XIII. But even more interesting is that Final Fantasy might not be the last exclusive Sony loses. When asked about Kingdom Hearts, Michihiro replied that Square-Enix "hasn't yet decided".
Keep it locked to NZGamer for more updates on this in the future. In the meantime, let us know what you think of this news. Are you still feeling elated/bitter about Final Fantasy XIII coming to the Xbox 360? Would you be equally ecstatic/heartbroken if Kingdom Hearts III went to the Xbox 360 or Wii? After all, the Keyblade + Wii MotionPlus = Profit, right?

But the PS3 is coming last! So helping them right now might help them get to second but not first. The other three KH games aren't even on the consoles, they're on the DS, PSP and mobile.
