New Zealand FFXII Dated

Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers today announces the forthcoming epic Final Fantasy XII from Square Enix Ltd. will be released on 23rd February 2007.

The latest title in one of Square Enix’s most beloved franchises will be released by Ubisoft in Australia & New Zealand territories exclusively on the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system.

John Yamamoto, President and CEO of Square Enix Ltd. comments, "The PAL launch of Final Fantasy XII is our biggest release since Square Enix started self publishing across Europe last year. The game has already received Edge magazine’s Best Game award for 2006, and with over 4 million copies already sold in other territories, we are looking forward to launching it to our fans in Europe and around the world."

Since its debut in 1987, the Final Fantasy series has sold over 70 million units worldwide. With its cutting-edge visuals, unique worlds and intricate narrative, Final Fantasy has defined the role-playing genre and continues to be adored by fans around the globe.
