September goes out with a Bang!

NZGamers felt a gaming drought for the first week of September, with no exciting games hitting store shelves, thankfully, as the month moved on we've been rewarded for our patience!

Of course last week saw the release of the highly anticipated Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green and the week before with the sequel to the highest selling game of all time, The Sims 2. All of this months biggies seem to be franchise games but who are we to complain when we get A-grade quality titles like Resident Evil: Outbreak, Call of Duty: United Offensive, Silent Hill 4, Rome Total War, Conflict Vietnam, Crisis Zone, WWE Day of Reckoning, Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires and Star Wars: Battlefront?

EA also lending more assistance with the release of NHL 2005, Tiger Woods 2005 and Madden 2005 (with PS2 versions of Tiger and NHL soon to follow). And for you Japanese game fans the official release of Final Fantasy XI for PC and Crimson Sea 2 would have been a relief.

And how could anyone forget Burnout 3: Takedown? One of most, if not the most intense smash and crash game ever made.

But it doesn't end there, this Friday we see WarHammer 40K: Dawn of War and Myst 4: Revelation hit the PC shelves. Times like these make me happy to be a gamer, I just wish my wallet would feel the same way.

As always hop on over to our forums to share your thoughts about this wicked lot of games!
