Tiger Tees Off To Promote Game

Beat Tiger Woods at his own game! EA have announced that they will be holding an event to celebrate the games release which will see some lucky competition winners and celebrities face off against Tiger Woods himself both virtually and for real.

To celebrate the launch of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07, EA SPORTS is organising the biggest golf event to hit London. Tiger Woods will be making an incredibly rare public appearance by taking on well-known personalities, competition winners and one lucky member of the public in a test of both video game and golf skills in a soon-to-be-announced central London location. The event takes place on Monday 25th September from 10.00am.

EA SPORTS has given exclusive coverage of the event to Channel 4’s T4 for this momentous occasion to create the ultimate virtual and real-life golf challenge. Three par 3 holes from famous courses around the world have been recreated and players will test their skills by teeing off on Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07 before placing their ball on the green and putting against the world’s number one golfer. Personalities including Vernon Kay, Ian Wright and Jodie Kidd will all be there as Tiger Woods takes over T4 and they take on Tiger at his own game.
There are opportunities for everyone to get involved, with game pods and skill zone challenges and one lucky spectator will win the chance to join the other prize winners to meet and play against Tiger with the overall winner earning the right to be immortalised in a future version of the game. Members of the public will have one attempt to drive a famous fairway as Tiger in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07 and the player with the longest drive will go through to the final challenge.

The exact location and final details will be announced at 6.00am on Monday 25th September via media outlets and via the EA SPORTS website.

Personally NZGamer would love to see how Tiger scores at his own game, and if he will dominate the way he does in real life.
