So Fable 2, not a bad game then. I have to confess to getting into this one quite a bit, and it has inspired a few rather random conversations lately. Apart from teasing each other when the Xbox is turned on at my flat about, ‘Visiting the wife?’ I have also started throwing around comments such as, ‘I’ll do the dishes if you chop some wood for me in Fable.’ The concept of trading real chores against virtual chores strikes a certain chord with my humour bone.

 

Aren’t games supposed to be what you do when you are trying to dodge real work? Can working for virtual dollars is more mind numbing than working for real money, and/or maybe achieving something? Will there be a gaming WINZ? All is not right in the universe my friends.

 

At what point will we see the following in the paper?

 

 

Apart from that, I have challenged a few friends to see if they can get through a whole day only using Fable 2 expressions. Of course, extending said actions results in a heap of bonus points. I was breaking out a few at work today, thumbs up and down are about the least adventurous, but if you loosen up you can let rip (no) with a huge arm pump.

 

Don’t stop there - find various trophies to hold above your head. Random people and co-workers will soon have hearts appearing over their heads and shower you with gifts, if the don’t, it may be time to use some of the rude options…
