Selling Collected Games

This was a surprisingly easy decision to make. For the longest time I had hoarded my NDS titles, good or bad, to make my collection look impressive. But just as I cull titles from my other game library's down to my favourite five or six I'm doing the same with my NDS library.

True enough, there are more than five or six games I'll be keeping, which isn't surprising considering how much I love the system. But it is time to say good-bye to a good chunk of the library.

The first lot is being sold on the NZG Trade Forums now.

Anyone else like this? Anyone else find it hard to collect games, and instead cull down on titles you'll not ever play again?

I'm tempted to cull consoles too... The Wii. I look at it and get mad, it represents to me gaming destroyed. It's not a games platform anymore, it's a family tool.

There's not a single disc based game coming to the Wii that I'm interested in. If it weren't for the fact that Metroid Prime 3 can only be played on the Wii and that LostWinds is exclusive to WiiWare I think I'd be ready to sell the damn thing.

I seem to be collecting cars instead of games lately but...

Can;t say I have regretted selling any of the games I have sold. Still have a decent collection, but if it's not a game I actually think I want to play again, what is the point of keeping it?

That said, there is something to be said about shelves loaded with sweet, sweet game cases...

i *do* miss my master system collection (at most 121 titles, then reduced to a top 50) however i now still own a sms without playing any of the games i have for it. i like the IDEA of having a collection, not the collection itself lol. id actually cull some of my stuff but cant be assed going to the post office!

so i try to never sell games. but most of the time i research them before i buy anyway!

The Wii isn't really a gaming console, but that's why I like to keep it around in a sense. When I'm not really in a gaming mood but I still want to do something interactive.

Anyway, I cull my game collection all the time. Given the price these things drop, I figure even if I repurchase a game later I'm still better off financially too. I try to keep my collections just to my favourites. I even cull my XBLA/PSN/VC games too!
