Getting published

So today I sent my novel off to the Victoria University Press to be considered for publishing.  I rang them up and asked how long it would take to hear back and they said that sometimes it could take two months.  Wow!  That's a long time.

In the meantime, as a whore for feedback, I have put a PDF copy of it on my writing section of my website.  It's free for all to read; all I ask is that you respect the copyright of it and don't make derivative works.  (You'll appreciate the irony of that once you read the book.)  The other thing I ask is that if you enjoy it and it does get published, please purchase a copy of the novel and support my career as a novelist.

So while I wait for months to hear back about the fate of my first book, I have already started planning my second book.  I've got a rough idea sketched out in my head and I've been playing around on paper, doodling some timelines and such things and I reckon I'll be ready to go in about a week or so.  I must remember to study some Japanese in this time, so the writing my take a backseat to my studies for a while.  Needless to say, I expect this one to be bigger and better.  I'll keep my cards to my chest for now, but I might leak some more information later.

So yeah, I encourage you all to read my book, and let me know what you thought of it in the comments section below.  Until next time, jaa matte!

Predicition: Won't be published. Reason: It's shite innit. Result: Epic fail.

Jaz, didn't you make a big deal about how much you disliked this website? And then, more importantly, didn't you f**k off already? I was sure that was the way things happened.
Liam, I will read your novel and give you constructive criticism,. Also, get back to Kate about BFDF tonight.

My bad. I have an innate need to show off my masculinity by using inappropriate language in public places. I swear it won't happen again.

Well done on actually completing a novel, that's one of the hardest parts.
And a-holes, stop being trols, CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is welcome.
Saying "It's shite innit" doesn't really count as constructive does it?
