Yeeeeaaaahhhhh! I had acc*milated to much annual leave and as such had been forced to take it so I took the opportunity to "veggie out" on some much missed game play. (eyes are tearing up) Theres nothing like Gaming hard out knowing you dont have to worry about getting up early for work. I must say that MGS4 has been the best MGS title of the series it was freak'n awesome and I'm not ashamed to admit that i did indeed shed a tear . . . . or more. . . . I mean dust particals landed in my eyes and irritated them like a Pro with thrush, but what can i say I was really captivated and fully immersed in the game, God bless you Hideo Kojima.
O.K lets get into the goodness that is MGS4 in all its 720p glory (would of like to see 1080) but hey I still remember reading how all MGS4 couldnt fit on a blue ray and had to cut down to size, so you cant really complain. you cant go wrong with a title like this as you keep finishing the game you unlock more gear and harder difficulty modes. The other strong feature of this game is the Metal Gear Online Extra game now thats an experiance and a half, I cant think of a better place to hang with some mates then in the MGS universe as you go around suffing out the lives of Counterstrike enthusiast who keeps looking for the shift key on a Sixaxis or getting shot in the back of the head with a tranquilizer dart "Tea bagged" and finding out down the line that it was 12 yr old kid pretending to be his older brother, who obviously loves the game more then you, Now into the game play you are greeted with eye candy from cut scenes to game play and more so with the bosses The beauties and their beasts, and the Flash backs (well not eye candy, but still images) althought repeatitive, is nothing short of nostalgic. The Close Quarters Combat system has been improved also, but you cant beat the array of weapons at your disposal that can be found around the dilapidated buildings of the middle east or the harsh and dangerous outdoors or brought from Drebin and his little cola and cigarette smoking addicted monkey, which makes the possibilites endless, to kill? or not to kill? that is the question. As you have your trusty companion Metal Gear MK II that can shock/stun your enemies and pick up ammo for you while you hide in the comfort of a hollowed out log, long grass or a drainage pipe, some of the boss levels can become quite irritating as you try and figure out a way to dispose of your foe none the less never back down.
